Are Big Hair Beauty products safe to use during pregnancy?
Some of our products contain essential oils, which in high doses are not advised to use during pregnancy. Although we use them in very small doses, we advise that if you have any concerns, you should speak to your doctor first just to be sure.
All of our products are created in line with the current EU Cosmetics Directive – meaning they been rigorously tested and signed off by a health and safety assessor and are completely safe to use. Not only are they all over 90% natural (with most between 95-99%), but they are also free from parabens, SLS/SLES, synthetic polymers, silicones, harsh ingredients or drying additives.
So when we say that they are naturally made, with love – we really do mean it!
Are Big Hair Beauty products vegan?
All of our products are suitable for vegetarians, however although all of our products are natural, some do contain ingredients that aren’t suitable for vegans – such as honey.

I don't trust ordering online, what should I do?
However, we understand that not everyone likes to shop online. We’re currently building a network of Big Hair Beauty Traders – please use our contact form to email us and we will let you know if there is anyone in your area or see what arrangements we can make for you
Why is my product a different colour/consistency/smell than the last time I ordered it?
Don’t worry! Unless we tell you that it’s a new recipe, you have the same product and it will give you exactly the same results! Nature doesn’t produce exact replicas each time, as a result our ingredients may vary slightly in texture, scent and shade from batch to batch. But rest assured, we lovingly make all of our products by hand, in exactly the same way, paying attention to detail and ensuring that you receive the best quality.
Do the products have an expiry date?
Yes. On each jar you’ll find a little symbol of an open jar, with a number. The number represents how long it is recommended you keep it after it has been opened.

I don't like the way your products make my hair feel, aren't natural products supposed to make it feel better?
We’re sorry that you feel that way, but please take a few minutes to read the information below to find out exactly what might be happening before you make your mind up!
When switching to natural products some people may find that their hair goes through a transition period – a detox almost – from the chemicals, silicones and synthetics that you are used to. The silicones and synthetics in regular products are made to bind to and coat your hair to change it’s appearance and behaviour. You continuously top up these silicones and synthetics even after washing [as they are contained in your regular shampoo, conditioner, leave in and so on].
When you start using our Big Hair Beauty products your hair may fuss and fight and scream a little – after all, it’s been lied to for so long! But fight back and give change a chance by using your product for a minimum of 8 uses. This is the average number of uses we found that customers started to see permanent ongoing change and when their hair said “hang on a minute, I quite like this stuff, let’s not fight anymore.” So please don’t stop straight away! You’ll miss out on the benefits you could get by switching over to the good side. So don’t listen to that silicone/synthetic/petrochemical devil on your other shoulder – it’ll soon disappear.
Payment, Delivery & Returns
How long will my order take?
We aim to despatch orders within 72hrs – often sooner – but you’ll always get notification to let you know it’s on its way, and we’ll keep you up to date in the rare event that there are any delays.
Can I change my order or delivery address?
Unfortunately, for your security, we cannot change the delivery address once an order has been placed and will always use the one that was submitted at the time of the order.
It is often difficult to change orders once they have been processed. However, if you do change your mind and want to add/remove something please get in touch as soon as possible and we will try our best to accommodate your request.
